Tohono Chul's Flowers

Had the opportunity to visit at Tohono Chul (desert corner) and was greeted by beautiful flowers.  This little pocket park (37 acres or ~14.9 hectares) has provided a wonderful little corner amid the busy life of Tucson.  The are was an old homestead but instead of opening up to development it was given for teh park.  A great place for just a bit of solitude or a stroll through saguaros, cholla, and other desert plants.

If you are lucky, you can see a road runner, cactus wren or other birds.  A close eye does reveal other visitors (scat patrol).  At the right time of year the night blooming cereus is there and a watch takes place like an expectant  parent.
